Westy Soccer Club is excited to partner with Surge Athletics to offer a specialized performance training program for our U15–U19 players this fall season. The program, run by Brandon and Courtney Mericle, focuses on improving speed, agility, strength, injury prevention, and overall athletic development for our high school athletes. As part of the staff training program, each team will receive three on-field performance sessions on 1 Wednesday night each month throughout the season. These sessions are included at no additional cost to our membership, and participation is expected from all rostered players.

All sessions will last 50 minutes, and below is the schedule.  Players will train on the small field at the Westminster Sports Center, located at 6051 West 95th Ave, Westminster, CO 80031:

These training sessions will be added to each team’s PlayMetrics calendar.

In addition to the structured sessions, Surge Athletics will be offering optional movement screenings and run analysis for players. These will take place at Big Dry Creek before one of the team practices in the next few weeks. The goal is to identify any movement issues early and help players stay healthy and strong throughout the year. Westy staff will coordinate with team coaches to schedule these screenings.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your coach or a member of the Westy staff. We’re looking forward to a great season of development and performance.

Go Westy!
